CHOCOLATE WAFFLES

(Makes approximately 8 waffles)

For this recipe you will need:

  • 1 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 3 tbs butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Sift all the dry ingredients into a large bowl. Put wet ingredients into blender. Carefully add dry ingredients into blender in two stages. Stop blender. Scrape sides then and continue blending for 30 seconds.

Pour about 1/2 cup batter into greased, heated waffle iron. (Batter amount depends on waffle iron size.)

Cook 2-3 minutes (depending on iron). Serve with warm chocolate sauce.
